Vaccinations are an important part of your pet’s preventative health
care. But, as I stress in my book, Laughter and Tears, a Veterinarian’s
Memoir and Advice, it is important that we don’t over vaccinate our pets
or vaccinate them for diseases they will never encounter. Often, a
proper and thorough physical examination and consultation are as
important or more important than the vaccinations. Call and speak to me
if you are unsure what vaccinations your pet really needs. Remember even
though yearly vaccinations are often not necessary, a thorough
examination and consultation should be a yearly event for every pet.
